Congratulations to Ticina Williams, SECC Program Manager, for being selected as one of the Emerging Leaders Award recipients for the 2024 Breakin’ It Down Conference.
For twenty years, the Breakin’ It Down conference has been met with success and has attracted nearly 3,600 participants. The BID conference engages diverse nonprofit and fundraising professionals and volunteers in empowering conversations about the present state and future of the nonprofit, philanthropic, and fundraising sector and its impact on under-recognized, under-represented and underserved communities in the Chicago area.
Lee Ann Eiland remarked, “Ticina stood out for her demonstrated commitment to championing diversity, supporting disinvested communities in Chicago, and to servant leadership with excellence, authenticity, and integrity. The Awards Review Subcommittee was equally impressed with her work to drive economic opportunities for creatives who live and work on Chicago’s south and west sides.”
Ticina will receive her award at the 2024 Breakin’ It Down Conference: Rooted in Purpose on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Malcolm X College.
