SECC Pouring with a Purpose – Event Recap
On Tuesday, January 27, SECC hosted Pouring with a Purpose at Mesler Kitchen and Bar, located inside The Sophy Hotel—and it was an incredible evening of fun and fundraising!
Guests gathered for a memorable night of connection, community, and curated wine. The evening kicked off with networking, giving attendees the opportunity to reconnect and build new relationships in a warm and inviting setting.
SECC welcomed guests with remarks from Executive Director Diane Burnham and Board President Daryl Newell, who shared insights into SECC’s mission and the impact of our collective support.
We were honored to hear a special welcome from Michael Faulkenstein and Chef Malcom Hilliard of The Sophy and Mesler, who spoke about hospitality, partnership, and the spirit of community that made the evening possible.
The highlight of the night was the seated wine tasting presentation by Shall We Wine. Guests enjoyed thoughtfully selected wines while learning about tasting notes, pairings, and the stories behind each pour.

The evening wrapped up with an exciting drawing and giveaway. Congratulations to the lucky winners who took home:
- One-night stay at The Sophy Hotel
